At Tealise, our story begins with curiosity-a love of travel, an appreciation for different cultures, and the belief that a cup of tea can bring the world a little closer.
Tea is woven into daily life in so many ways. It welcomes guests, creates space for conversation, and offers a quiet pause in a busy day. Inspired by these traditions, we created Tealise to share exceptional tea experiences that feel both personal and full of discovery.
2016
Our Roots in Niagara-on-the-Lake
Our journey began in 2016 in the charming town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Here, our appreciation for quality tea became something we could share with others, a welcoming place to explore flavours, ask questions, and find a favourite cup.
From the familiar comfort of black tea to the delicate character of white and green teas, we wanted to make discovering tea an enjoyable experience. You didn’t need to be an expert. A little curiosity was enough.
Those beginnings continue to shape Tealise today: thoughtful choices, a welcoming spirit, and a love of sharing tea.
A WORLD OF FLAVOUR
A Collection Inspired by the World
Today, our collection includes over 100 loose-leaf teas sourced from more than 75 specialty tea gardens around the world.
Each tea offers its own character. Some are light, floral, and delicate; others are rich, earthy, or warming. The pleasure is in noticing those differences and discovering what speaks to you.
Our collection spans white, green, black, and traditional oolong teas, alongside rooibos, artisan blooming teas, and colourful herbal and fruit blends. Whether you enjoy a classic cup or love trying something unexpected, there is always another flavour to explore.
For us, variety is an invitation, to taste widely, follow your curiosity, and find teas that suit different moments in your day.
2020
Bringing Tealise Online
In 2020, we introduced our collection online, opening our doors to tea lovers beyond our hometown.
Our online collection brought the pleasure of discovery into customers’ homes, making it possible to revisit a favourite blend or explore something new from wherever they were.
The setting had changed, but the intention remained the same: to make quality tea approachable and turn an everyday cup into a moment worth enjoying.
2025
A New Chapter in California
In 2025, our journey expanded into California, USA, creating a new connection with tea lovers across North America.
This chapter brought our Ontario beginnings and our love of discovery to a new setting. From a quiet morning at home to an afternoon spent with friends, we wanted Tealise to become part of the moments people make their own.
As we grow, we carry the spirit of Niagara-on-the-Lake with us, the warmth of a welcome, the pleasure of a shared table, and an appreciation for a well-made cup of tea.
